As a Macromedia Dreamweaver beta tester I tended to expand on some it the applications via the XML configuration files. This is a bit more advanced than the average everyday web designer would even have knowledge of.
The configuration files allow for many changes to the normal workflow, whereas you can control which files the design view will allow you to open and preview. Files link .inc can me added to the file extension list to alow for opening up include files into design view.
